How it begins
There was once a shoemaker who worked very hard and was very honest. But even so, he could not earn enough money to live on. At last, everything he owned was gone, except for just enough leather to make one pair of shoes. So he cut out the leather, ready to sew the shoes the next day, and planned to get up early in the morning to work on them.
